Only gripe I have is having to pay for free TV..!!Nursing staff are very friendly and efficient.. My elderly father was treated with respect and we were kept up to date with his medical procedures.. Hospital rooms are beautiful and clean
They don't check with patients if they have correct information given to them and threaten them with forced injections not relevant to their treatment. The doctor wants his way always or he won't discharge the patient. They make fun of patients also. Very unprofessional service. Very dissatisfied.
Son saw gp twice last week for suspected food poisoning. Much worse on Saturday so presented at emergency. The doctor on duty was the same doctor he saw during the week. This time the doctor didn't speak or examine my son whom is 18 years old. Doctor told nurse to send him home. Disgusting lack of service. Son had a bad night up.lots to toilet then early morning vomited. So sick ambulance was called and took him to hospital. Heart rate 140. Once at hospital doctors and nurses were fantastic and I give them a 4 star rating. Thank goodness for some caring professionals.
Today my partner had his chemotherapy, all went wrong, he is now suffering pain and discomfort, his chemotherapy leaked onto him, he was subjected to multiple injections, and did not receive his full dose, we have never had reason to complain before, but this experience has left us wondering why he was not admitted overnight for observation. I am struggling to find a good word at the moment.
I was told to go to the hospital because i have a sever and progressive infection in my leg from a splinter from a treatd post. How ever the whyalla hospital and staff seem think a child with a possible uti is of a bigger priorty then i am. note i was there before this person and ended up waiting almost an hour with a hole in my leg and in sever pain.. i was suppose to be receiving iv antibiotics but apparently they can not keep them to the scheduled time intervals. I was suppose to have them 3 times a day for a week. But the hospital could not maintain that because of there lack of care my leg has gotten worse. I was going up there to have my iv medication on 2 occasions i waited over 2hrs before they administered my medication there for not leaving enough time in the day for me to havethe 3 courses as required. But they told me due to not having enough staff that no one would be able to attend my home to give me the reguired amount of meddication. My advice dont go to this hospital if you seriously need help drive to port Augusta. Where they atleast do there job properly.. i should add the doctor on duty purscribed me the wrong medication. Had i taken that medication she prescribed it would not have made a difference to my leg. Please note this doctor on duty wrote this purscription. With out even seeing me. Note aware of the damage done to my leg or my previous medications. Or she would have known that the medication she wanted me to have is actually not avective to the infection strain i have... absolutley furious and disgusted with the lack of care and treatment at this hospital.. i will be making a formal complaint to the ombudsman
