Great place to see and experience. Friendly staff
Could easily have spent much more time here. Historical display in museum is a must. Allow a few hours minimum, we didn't and consequently missed out on getting the full experience.
This was a rare and rewarding experience. Saw some history, learned some facts and enjoyed a day out. We are actually planning a revisit. My kids loved the model rail way which is actually a representation of local steel mill and mines etc.I highly rate this and recommend it.
The ship is an amazing addition for Whyalla tourism. I'm often outside eating my lunch and see A LOT of people stop to get a photo. The actual museum is filled with great history of Whyalla. Staff are friendly and helpful. Worth a visit!
I like museums. The Whyalla Maritime Museum is just an old mine sweeper but it is all the history behind this thing that makes it worth it a visit. Oh there is also the part that is not the ship. Go and visit and enjoy a bit of Australian history.
